Mini sofa 1:24 scale

I quite like how this came out! This will be part of a larger project for my DIL for Christmas.

This is made using mat board for the main structure. I made the cushions by using a cardstock template and marking off the tufting points. Then I used a clip to hold the template, 2 layers of felt, and fabric together until the cushion was tufted enough to not need the clip anymore. I should have taken progress pics! Oh well.

After the cushions were tufted I folded the excess fabric toward the back and glued it to the card stock, then glued the cushions down onto the sofa. I cut pillows out of upholstery fabric but it was tricky trying to make them look stuffed.

I had the pegs for the feet in stash. And a snippet of minky made a good throw. I glued it on with some folds to hopefully make it look like someone just moved it aside to get up for a snack or something.

Thanks for looking!

ETA: I decided the pillows kind of looked a bit monotonous so I switched one out.

So tiny. I would have glue everywhere. My mind is trying to imagine what you are going to create.

Thank you, ladies!

I intend to make a book nook for my DIL this year. Sheโ€™s the only one who doesnโ€™t have one.

You did a great job on this! Iโ€™ve been making a few mini items and I now have a whole new appreciation for miniature makes! That minky throw is the perfect finishing touch. It makes the couch look cozy and inviting!
