Miniature Pumpkin Pie

Here’s a little tutorial for a polymer clay pumpkin pie. I started with a mini pie pan and cut a circle of beige clay to fit it. A rope of the same clay was added around the edge and fluted with a round toothpick then baked.

The crust was given a toasty look with some brown soft pastels that I applied with my finger.

I added pumpkin colored clay inside the baked crust and textured it with a ball of foil followed by a toothbrush.

The pie got baked again then painted with some watered down brown acrylic paint around the edges and topped with a dollop of white clay that I pressed through a cake decorating tip I stole from my kitchen.

Here’s the setting I used it in. Feel free to ask questions if you have them!

Your tutorial is great - well written and concise! If ever I make an itty bitty pie, I’ll definitely consult this post.

Everything looks yummy! Those candy corn turkeys crack me up!

Thanks so much, Linda!

Thank you for the tutorial! I’m abysmal with polymer clay but this makes me feel like I could manage it.

You’re so welcome!

Oh, my tiny goodness! This is so dang cute and real-looking! Thanks so much for sharing the tutorial, which really does make it seem doable. That dessert table looks like one I’d sidle up to for sure. I’d love to know more about that other pie, too.

Thank you! That other pie is a pretty realistic commercial one from Alpha Stamps. I made the pumpkin pie, cakes & turkey cookies for this project.

This is both super cute, and i love that the pie had to be baked, even if it wasn’t edible! :joy::heart_eyes:
