Mixed Media Affirmation Flags

I made these flags for the latest round of the Positive Affirmation Swap. I fused some muslin to a midweight interfacing, added a layer of gesso, scraped on some paint, and then sewed on some details. There’s also some stamping and Stabilo all pencil in there, too.

They were pretty fun to make. Thanks for looking. :slightly_smiling_face:

They are so fantastic! All the mark making & sketchy stitches give excellent dimension & visual interest. Really fabulous work :blue_heart:

Beautiful quote flags; so lively and artistic!

They are really visually interesting and have a lot of texture with the mix of fabrics and paint.

I love that the one you sent to me has my three black cats on it.

Haha…this is going to be your claim to fame now! I kept singing “Three Cool Cats” by the Beatles while stitching.

I love everything about these so much - the background colors, the triangle bits, the layered pieces of fabric, the stitches, the sentiments, all of it!
