Moderately Inflation Italian Sausage

Since I was up $100 for this month, I spent $20 on some food stuffs, and got some ground pork to turn into Italian sausage. This time I added two eggs and a whole package of crackers to make it go farther.

Paprika, crushed red pepper flakes, sugar, ground anise, garlic & onion powders, looooots of dried basil, marjoram, and thyme…And I forgot the salt and pepper… . Welp, will have to wash my hands again,.

I am going to let this sit overnight in the fridge, sort of like let it marinade with the herbs and spices. Then I’ll fry it all up tomorrow, freeze it, and use it sparingly over several days. (Which reminds me, the next $140+ I get, get some frozen veggies, too).

Got a decent size batch. This should last for quite a while.

And a bowl of pasghetti with some canned corn added for veggies.

Everything is so expensive these days! You found some great ways to stretch your budget.

Also, I need to start cooking with hot dogs and balogna, too, but I keep forgetting to grab any while at the store. Also, back when I had more money about 9 months ago (:no_mouth:, has it really been that long? Wow!) I had gotten something different at a hispanic restaurant here, and found out they had made it with pork rinds for the meat. It was pretty good, and want to learn to make it myself. A bag of pork rinds could make me enough food for almost two weeks, and, AND, I don’t have to worry about storing it, heh.
