More furbies!

Hi, I’m so glad y’all enjoyed the care bear furby! Here’s another oddbody furby as well as a long one:

I used a dog toy for the octopus. I had to take out a squeaker and some crinkle plastic, and then I stuffed the legs. After all that, I attached the face with gorilla glue. For the long furby, I used faux fur fabrics and an original 1998 furby face. He also has a bendable spine, which I personally love. I plan on making a lot more!

That’s very creative! Do you have to cut out any of the fur from the area that you glue the faces to?

It depends, usually if I cut a hole it’s because the existing face is larger than the furby face. And when I do cut out the faces, I’ll give it a mane, too.

Also to clarify, with the long furby the face is sewn in. The face itself actually has holes for attaching it.

Ahhh that makes a lot of sense. Very cool!

How did you come up with the idea of these altered furbies? Very cute!

There’s a whole furby fandom on tumblr. A lot of people love to repurpose toys in this way, so that’s where I got the idea.
