Multi-eyed Mimic Treasure Chest

My Broseph (that’s what I call my brother :joy:) plays Dungeons and Dragons a lot and he’s into all kinds of video games. I felt he needed a mimic dice box. (Or whatever he wants to put in it) It was a must. It’s Sculpey around a wood treasure-chest-style box and painted.

I forgot to take a picture of it and had him send me some lol.

Thanks for looking!

That is absolutely incredible! The outside is so perfect, but then you open it and WOW! That looks so realistic and cool and not at all like clay. Gorgeous work. I’m sure your brother adores it.

Soooo cool! I’m curious how you got the clay to adhere so well to the wooden box - it looks flawless. And working around the hinges could not have been easy. Great job!

This is AMAZING!!! The outside is so fun and cool, but the inside seals the deal as the coolest dice box ever. I love the extra teeth on the inside lid.

Holy moly! This is amazing! The detail is fabulous! I’m not sure if I’m more impressed by the exterior or the interior!

Oh I forgot to say I used epoxy sculpt too! I made the main bits in polymer clay and then attached it with epoxy clay. For the inside I covered the inside of the box with tinfoil to sculpt on. Then I pulled it out and cooked it in the tinfoil. I didn’t want to warp the box.
