My First Hand-Thrown Bowl featuring Garden Okra

Several weeks ago, @GeekyBookworm and I went to @thewateringcan’s studio and took an introductory class to learn to throw pottery. We went back and painted them a few weeks later, and I picked them up about a week ago. We had 5 tries, and got to pick our favorite to bring home, and each try was 1 lb of clay.

Ages ago, I had wanted to make a whole kitchen set using this colorway, but the plates were chipping on me, so I scratched that plan. However, it didn’t stop me from using it on my bowl!

I love how it looks!

I added some shimmer to the outside, but discovered I would have preferred if I had done that on the inside instead.

It’s the perfect size to bring to the garden to collect our okra harvest!
