Needle Felted Giraffe

This was my first completed needle felting project! I was inspired by a picture I saw on Pinterest of a giraffe beanie baby (twigs) and I just had to make one for myself. (Finished 10/23/25)

Trusting the process…

Coloring!

Finishing!

I made a few mistakes in the process, mostly not using enough/too much wool for specific portions of the body but I think I made it work  Some parts are firmer than others (too much wool) but over all its pretty squishy! His name is cheese stick because he has a few bald spots where you can see the core wool underneath the color. I did my best with 3 grams of roving

Do you see the resemblance?

Welcome to Lettuce Craft!

Cheese Sticks is adorable and so impressive for your first foray into needle felting! I think the color variation from the roving indercoat makes him even cuter.

He is super adorable! The proportions and the way he sits are perfect. I totally understand the struggle with trying to manage felting with very little roving! Lol. This is an incredible first try!
