Decorate Your Bunk
You can also start to decorate your bunk!
This year, we’re throwing back to Pieces of Flair (the online digital button boards on early social media sites) to show off all our favorite things.
Instructions:
-
Click this link to access a template on Canva. You can access it via web browser or the mobile app, though using a laptop/desktop/tablet is HIGHLY recommended. You will be prompted to log in or create an account. Accounts are free.
-
Here is a quick video demo of using the template on a desktop:
-
The blank button template on the cork board is an automatic frame. Duplicate the button to add as many as you want to your board. AVOID clicking on the “Ungroup” button, unless you’re familiar with Canva. It will disconnect the frame from the button graphic and you will have a hard time moving and organizing your buttons.
-
Upload images of things you like and snap them into the button frame. (To upload: Drag and drop an image onto the cork board part of the screen, or click the “Uploads” section and click “Upload files.” Click the image from your Uploads section to add it to your board. Then drag and hover the image over the button frame. It will snap automatically to the template.)
-
Organize your board. Buttons can be resized and moved around freely. Layer them using the “Position” button. You can delete whatever buttons you don’t want on your board, including the ones that came with the template (they are just there as examples).
-
When you’re done, download your image from Canva and post it in this thread. (To download from Canva: Click “Share” and then “Download.” Select JPG as your file type and then click “Download” again.)
-
Post an image of your completed pin board in this thread when it’s ready.
