Throw a box away?!?! Never!!!

But now you’ve got me thinking . . . outside the box

And you’ve got me thinking inside the box…
Is there a secret code hidden under the washi tape? Do I need to disassemble the box and look for secret messages under the areas where the cardboard is folded over? Hmm… :face_with_monocle:

I hadn’t thought of that. I’ve been staring at the washi tape in case there’s some secret message there I’m too tired to figure out.

I’m kind of lost… I don’t remember seeing this anywhere?

Also.. in the acorn.. is it a crossword puzzle?
At this point I should confess that puzzles are 100% not my strong suit…

It’s not a word search (even though it kind of looks like one). It’s a coded message. You have to figure out the secret to reading it. Here’s the hint I posted earlier:

Never go alone. Always take a friend.

I can now confirm that no, there is not a secret clue beneath the washi tape in our boxes. And in related news, I have finished decorating my postcard and it is ready to send (just in time!).

@LindyBlues, there’s a link to the visitor center at the bottom of this post.

I am stalled on the other two puzzles in the visitor center. Le sigh. So far my only solves are the acorn and 404. I am positive I’m overthinking.

I may have cracked the symbols on the easel. I followed a train of thought, and although it got me gibberish answer, that answer is in the ballpark of a sensical answer that would be on-theme.

No more overthinking - just basic thinking. Go back to the absolute basics for the canoe rental puzzle.

Ohhhhhh. Thank you for the tip! I got that one. Now for the whiteboard.

I could be wrong but I thiiiiiink it’s a lot simpler than that. The word I found was a pretty familiar one at this point.

But… it also could be that we’re talking about the exact same thing.

I thought we could put to a vote if we want any spoilers. If we do agree to allow it, they’ll need to be hidden so that people can choose if they want to see the answer or not. Let’s vote!

I’ve tried multiple things to solve the symbol puzzle, including:

  • Locating the symbols on a computer keyboard in hopes that the corresponding letters would spell out a word
  • Doing the same on an iPad on screen keyboard
  • Trying Webdings, Symbol, and all the Wingdings fonts

So far, I’ve had no luck, though, based on the comment from Mountains_and_Clouds, I have a good idea of what the word is. Maybe, I’ll try to reverse engineer it…

ETA: Okay, I looked at the clue again after knowing the word and now I get it. It turns out, none of my earlier methods were even close, lol.

I think I have the whiteboard figured out, maybe.

I figured out the canoe rental sign, but still haven’t worked out the white board. Off to stare at it for 3 minutes… Ada didn’t even let me finish typing that message before interrupting. But my husband was walking by, so he asked me to send him the images, so he can stare at them too. Honestly, I’m thrilled with myself for getting 3 out of 4.

Hmmm. If I’m going with “a familiar word at this point”, and directions, then I think I have the white board. But I could be wrong…

Looking at it again, I think you’re right; I see now what I think is the (much simpler) intended answer.

Though as with many puzzles, I kind of like my solution better  .
