Oh! Thats an awesome idea! Thanks!
@Tapestry - pretty pottery! It is such an involved craft, with so many steps and I don’t know if you really ever know exactly what it will look like in the end until it’s actually finished. People who paint with glazes are so impressive!
My Madlib:
Smeddley wanted to make a SPACE-themed craft (yay!)
using or inspired by PLASTIC. (oh no…)
It featured a variety of colors including
SILVER and BLACK. (that’s going to look like I cheated, but I didn’t, I swear!)
Everyone remarked how
SUBTLE (oh… oh NO) and THOUGHTFUL (um… uh… oooookay…)
it looked when they gazed upon the finished project.
I have NO IDEA where to go with this. At first I thought maybe a miniature spaceship cabin from plastic scraps a la Studson Studios (only not nearly as good, obviously) but subtle and thoughtful? Huh…
It started out so well, too, with the space theme!
Loving these MadLibs! For the materials one, you don’t have to use that material, it just has to be inspired by that material, if that makes it any easier for anyone. Maybe it doesn’t.
Here’s my MadLib
ezrib wanted to make a CARTOON themed craft
using or inspired by FABRIC.
It featured a variety of colors including
TAN and GREY. (hmm, not my colors normally)
Everyone remarked how
JOLLY and THOUGHTFUL
it looked when they gazed upon the finished project.
Here’s my madlib:
LindyBlues wanted to make a fandom-themed craft using or inspired by wood. It featured a variety of colors including gray and gold. Everyone remarked how hard and thoughtful it looked when they gazed upon the finished project.
I have something in mind already, though I may stretch the definition of thoughtful Perhaps an evil character can be “thoughtful” about how he’ll treat his enemies… as in thinking hard about how badly he’ll treat them
@Tapestry I love the cup and paintbrush holder; the colours on the cup holder especially pop out and make me want to look closer at the details. Your madlib made me chuckle Good luck!
It could be using or “inspired by” metal, so for someone like me, who does a lot of paper crafting, I would interpret that as using, for example, a metallic marker for something. Or it could be inspired by something that is made of metal or that recalls metal of some kind. For example, someone who gets Fandom and “inspired by metal” could draw Wolverine’s claws or even make them out of a different material and paint them to look like metal. I’m looking forward to seeing what you come up with!
Lots of thoughtful crafting this season
Prompt: Eat healthy (January)
Team: Running with Scissors
Project Name: Wine & Dill Salmon (also accidentally known as bubble bath salmon) & freezer-friendly mashed potatoes that did not make it into the freezer
Project Link: Wine & Dill Salmon with Freezer-Friendly Mashed Potatoes (if you can make them last long enough to freeze them)
Brief Description: I made these two dishes from scratch. See community post above for an explanation of the photos and all the other chaotic commentary

Prompt: Bullet Journal
Team: Running with Scissors
Project Name: Handbound book for me!
Project Link: Another handbound book--this one is for me!
Brief Description: This project hits every single one of the explanations of this prompt. Firstly, it is literally a journal. It is made of paper. It is artsy, if I do say so myself. It was glued after being sewn. And the paper is watercolour paper that has little rasied “dots” on one side .

Project Name: Fly & Roach Ornament
Project Link: Bug & Mushroom Ornaments
Brief Description: This funny (yet gross) ornament has a fly on it. The fly is gray!
