Prompt: January Battle - Audiobook Team: Cheese Trustees Project Name: Ireland Scrapbook Page 1 Project Link:Ireland Scrapbook Part 1 Brief Description: Even though I love both the process and looking back at finished pages afterwards, scrapbooking is probably the most difficult craft for me to actually make myself sit down and do. I’ve found that listening to audiobooks while I do it helps a LOT, though! Project Photo(s):
Prompt: January - Glitter House on the Prairie Team: Cheese Trustees Project Name: Ireland Scrapbook Page 3 Project Link: See above Brief Description: This page is pretty brown, and Oscar Wilde could be considered old-fashioned. Project Photo(s):
Prompt: January - Woodwork in the Willows Team: Cheese Trustees Project Name: Ireland Scrapbook Page 4 Project Link: See above Brief Description: This is related to nature/plants! Project Photo(s):
@tapestry – I always say I should make swatch sheets, but I’m just too lazy… the bottom edges of my artwork always just has my try-out spaces for my colors…
@roler – what a great scrapbook to have! Looks like you had a blast.
Prompt: Alice’s Adventures in Yarnderland Team: Pepperoni Posse Project Name: Evergreen Amis Project Link:Evergreen Amigurumi Brief Description: From a million pumpkins to a forest of trees, I just keep crocheting décor for everyone! I have to admit this was going to be my easiest prompt, I feel like all I do is yarn projects! Project Photo(s):
Prompt: Free Range 1 Team: Pepperoni Posse Project Name: Relining the splatter box Project Link: N/A Brief Description: I decided it was time to replace the lining in my paint splatter box. Originally it had a variety of magazine, phone book, map, etc. pages, but this time I simplified (ha!) by using a roll of kraft paper. Project Photo(s):
Brief Description: Walks/being in the woods has always grounded me, but I live in a village now. I still like to walk, and then finally remembered there is a little trail along the river starting from the boat launch. It was almost like being in the middle of the woods again, and really improved my mood. Photos don’t remotely capture the essence of the feeling/calm I experience, but I brought my phone today and snapped some photos.
(Random but not unexpected millstone, because this is a village along a river)

Back to drop off your mystery books and check out the stacks! The biographies are calling to you. This week, send a nice message to someone you haven’t been in touch with for a while. Could be a text, letter, email, voice mail, telegraph, message in a bottle, note ferried by carrier pigeon, lipstick on a mirror, sticky note to a forehead, chalk on a sidewalk, tied to a brick…anything you want! (Protip: If you tie it to a brick, be sure to decorate the brick, BUT DO NOT throw it. Set it down carefully. )
This prompt came at a great time! I’ve been thinking about my friend, Evelyn, lately and wondering how she’s doing. So instead just continuing to think about her, I sent her a message. I hope she responds!
If you take the used ones apart, the bottom part makes a good seed starter! Two of them will sit up in a Oui yogurt jar. (I also used one of them to make an indention in some cinnamon buns I was adding a filling to in a mini muffin tin! Worked perfectly!)
Event: Reading Rainbow Prompt: January -The Glitter House on the Prairie Team: Veggie Vigilantes Project Name: 70s Wrap Skirt (with Chickens!) Project Link:70s Wrap Skirt (with Chickens!) Brief Description: The skirt is brown (with a rainbow of chickens!) and could be considered old-fashioned since I used a 70s wrap skirt pamphlet pattern. Project Photo(s):
Event: Reading Rainbow Prompt: Free Range Team: Veggie Vigilantes Project Name: Alcohol Markers Organization & Guide Project Link: N/A Brief Description: I ordered a set of alcohol markers (because I needed another art/craft medium ) and they came just randomly put into the bag. So I sorted them by number, which was also (more or less rainbow order). I also made a little one-sheet zine guide with all the colors, since the color of the marker ends don’t really represent the actual colors. This took way longer than I want to admit… Project Photo(s):
Sorry, my brain fog and executive function aren’t currenlty letting me comment individually on all the projects in here, but I just want to say that I’m loving all the things people are posting! So nice to have such a wholesome part of the internet to visit. Also, I am ITCHING to post a couple of ATCs I’ve made this week but have to wait ‘til they’re received… It’s been so long since I’ve had this much crafting mojo, I can’t wait to share!
