Night Drive [WIP & DONE]

For the past few nights I’ve been attempting to re-create some of my drives I used to make between 2014-2017 when I did the escorting oversize. I loved driving at night. Just me, the whine of the engine, the sounds of the tires on the road, and the distant lights along the horizon. Unfortunately, I haven’t found that spark, that little something that immerses me into that feeling, but I keep trying.

(Note: These are extremely low resolution, and only a part of the images, as I doubt anyone would appreciate the sheer size of these, heh. I made them for wallpapers for my computer at 9600x5400, with only house lights, city lights, and stars along with the black black night).

The first image, I added a distant storm. However, I really think I should have left the thunderbolts out. It should have been lit up clouds only. That’s what I remember the most.

This second image, I added two distant vehicles along a road before the city. Those are the two faint lights to the left of the city lights.

Plus I tried to add a curve that the main car is driving towards.

What a fascinating concept! You come up with some unique ideas for your art. This really does evoke the feeling of a long drive at night.

Have a storm not far away, so quickly snapped a pic so I could use it to help in seeing the colors. Granted, this phone’s camera is not good. Not good at all, heh, but it suffices. I only need the colors.

This should help me figure out what brushes to use with mypaint, and krita as it turns out krita is about as clean as mypaint is (Although a bit more clunkier on my i5 computer without a graphics card, :face_exhaling: ). However, I can restrict my drawing to shapes so I don’t have to worry about overusing the undo feature, heh. Plus, even though the program really sucks the memory out of my computer, it draws smoothly with the larger brush settings.
