No thumbnails/featured projects on home screen

Is anyone else not the seeing featured projects and photo thumbnails for project posts (or other threads with a header photo)? This morning when I opened LC on my phone (Android using Samsung Internet app), both were gone.

Other site formatting changes seem to indicate there have been updates, so I just wanted to flag this in case it’s an unintended side effect of the updates.

Example of no thumbnails

Homepage with no featured projects bar

Thanks!

Yep, same here.

Same. I noticed a bunch of small UI changes this morning so I’m guessing there was an upgrade overnight.

I see the same.

Good to know it was not me…I have a very old computer and also got a warning that my current version of my browser will stop working soon…I am probably going to have to buy a large monitor compatible with my laptop…time to leave WIN 7 behind…ha!

Also, the emojis are different…

Cool feature…you can click on your picture and reduce or enlarge it! The controls are on the left top corner. You can trash them as well.

Yes, so sorry about that. I updated the main site and the component I use to display the thumbnails isn’t playing well with the new site code. Trying to fix it now. :hearts:

I don’t love the new ones, but they were part of a recent update package. I told myself my eyes will just get used to them in a few days, but for now, I’m a little grumpy about them.

You are exactly correct. I just updated about it over yonder:

I don’t mind them…I do like the picture size adjustment…I figured you were adjusting the changes…hang in there…I have to make changes, too…like upgrade to something other than Win 7

Hahaha, I love you.

My laptop is Win 11. Since we are closing our office, we tried to donate all of the old towers but nobody wanted them! Go figure!

A small computer store took them for parts since they constantly get boomers like me hanging on to old stuff as long as we can. We had everything from 286s to XP. Anybody need an Okidata impact printer? No one wants that.

No worries; I know that’s how it goes sometimes. And whatever you’ve done seems to be working, because both thumbnails and features are back on my interface.

Yes, I think I’ve got it repaired! :hearts:

I do want to make them a bit smaller. I’ll keep working on that.

Got this wiggled out today. Hope they are more visually appealing now that they aren’t punching-us in-the-face huge.

Yes, much more manageable now, at least IMO.
