"Nothing Is Perfect and Everything Is Perfect" Mixed Media on Wood

Back in April I went to a “Surface Design on Wood” program at the library. This weekend I finally finished the project :laughing:.

It ended up being a kind of a choose-your-own-adventure affair, but luckily my board had a built-in tree trunk once I rotated it, so I leaned into that for the design. The trunk is oil-based wood stain, and the words are wood-burned. It’s hard to tell from the photos, but some parts I also went over with a Dremel.

I love how you used the grains as a tree trunk.

What a cool project your library organized. I love yhe bright green you used. It really contrasts with the natural wood to draw your attention in.
