My daughter wants to dress up as the Once-ler from the Lorax. We failed to find a relevant green tailcoat, so will have to make one ourselves.
I’m a beginner in the sewing world, but my daughter is very confident in my abilities (although a bit less so in my time management skills).
Where can I find a relevant pattern for this type of coat? Preferably a simple one, it’s a costume so doesn’t have to be a fully functional coat for daily wear.

You could just add buttons to this simple trench coat and round the back hem.
Skip the lining as well. If you can find a green knit for the sleeves/gloves that would be awesome!
