Ongoing ATC Abecedarium: D, P

I got the notion to create an ATC Abecedarium a little over a year ago. I bought paper and cut out 26+ cards then and have been ruminating and making notes since then. Yesterday, I had the time and inclination to get started. I started with the letter D.

D.

I don’t totally love the look, but I do love how I did the “D” of it all.

It says: A diving dragonfly dropping dice on a doe deer drinking a dotted daquiri adjacent a diamond-plate daisy, all on a diagonal-striped, daffodil-yellow background.

I know realize I should have said "… displayed on a… " but oh, well! I also misspelled daquiri. D’oh! I’ll see about fixing that somehow.

I do not plan to do them in any kind of order nor do I plan to trade them.

And I have already gotten the chance to make another while waiting for a thunderstorm to pass.

P.

I am more pleased with the look of this one! I also like the P of it all.

It says: The pine-impressed, plaid postage stamp promotes the Purple Penquin Prize to the pink polka-dot package. Price: 1 puce penny.

The plaid is embossed with pinecones/boughs, but I couldn’t really get the camera to catch it. They just look like color inconsistencies in the photo.

This sounds like a great project! You’re off to a fun start.
I think it’s smart to work on the cards as inspiration strikes, rather than trying to find the inspiration for each letter as it comes up in alphabetical order.

Thank you! I couldn’t think of a reason to go in order other than “that’s how it’s done” which isn’t often a good reason in and of itself.

Such an interesting idea and execution! Brainstorming each will be so fun.

You are having fun! These are great and will make a fun set. I can’t wait to see B (Bigfoot).

Thank you! Maybe B (Bigfoot) or maybe S (sasquatch)!

Or maybe both?

We’ll just have to wait and see! Or not see… it is Bigfoot, after all.
