While working on my goal to use up the orphan blocks I have, I realized that I had a few of similar scrappy blocks. I took three of them, divided them in half, then rearranged them to be more scrappy.
I then fused them to fleece and quilted them. I had to add the green fabric at the bottom to make the tote longer. I also decided to add an inset zipper and an inside pocket. The lining and handles are also from stash.
I am sorry that I don’t remember who made these beautiful blocks for me, so if you recognize them, please speak up! YOU did all the hard part so I could finally make this bag!
Now, instead of sitting in a bin, waiting to get more blocks to make a full size quilt, I have something I can use now. My little cat is obsessed with yarn so I have to use bags that can close to keep him from finding it!
Whoever did the blocks did a great job. You did great by crafting them into a tote. Love the top zip and the colors. Very bright and cheery!

It was unbelievable how precise the stitching was on the blocks. I was able to line them up in any direction to fit beautifully together! It made sewing a breeze!
What an awesome bag! I’m sure you’ll use it all the time. You’re on a roll using up those blocks!

Thanks! Now that I am barely working (5 hours per week compared to 15), I have to keep busy! Plus, I want to use the good stuff and have some random gifts on hand!
