I am covering composition notebooks with fabric-batting-fabric and have included one small pen pocket on this first one. I was thinking of making an interesting closing strap or adding a bookmark ribbon to the top, any other features that would make this compelling? It’s not yet top stitched/finished.

I think a ribbon to keep your spot would be a great idea.

Adding that this is a prototype so I grabbed some thrifted fabric that didn’t have another job, but am now amused with the Bear That Watches Your Pen For You. Ha!
