Painted Angels Holiday Cards

I stumbled across the artist Amanda Evanston on Pinterest and immediately fell in love with her style. These are made from her free class called Huggable Hosts: Angels the Easy Way!

After I painted them, I decided they would make great images for this year’s holiday cards! I scanned each painting and printed them on sticker paper (shout out to @geekgirl for this genius, time-saving idea).

My friend Jes has the BEST stamp collection, so I borrowed one from her for the inside sentiment. I loved this one!

Happy Holidays! :innocent:

They turned out adorably! I love the first one. :purple_heart: The white outline really makes her hair stand out.

Glad that tip worked for you! Your cards look great. I’ll have to look that artist up. Love the angels.

What kind of printer do you have? Mine is 15 years old and still works but I’ve noticed when printing super colorful pages i get lines every inch or so.

It’s an HP OfficeJet 3830. It’s old and not great. Printing the sticker pages took forever. I did get lines in some of the first ones I printed but that was a low ink situation. :woman_shrugging:

I think all printers are generally just the worst.

I have an HP Photosmart printer. part of the issue might be I buy non-HP ink. I may break down and buy some HP ink and see if it does better. It does worse when there are larger areas of a solid color.

I really don’t want to buy a new one and be forced into a subscription plan for ink.

I do buy HP cartridges. Mostly because I put off buying it so when I need ink I need it now and have to run to the store. :woman_facepalming:

What a cool idea for repurposing your art! I might have to borrow that idea too

If you do end up getting a new printer, look into the ecotank ones. I think they cost a bit more up front, most printers are sold at cost and manufacturers make their money on ink cartridges, but save on ink. I was looking at getting an Epson ecotank printer for art but ultimately decided our Brother color laser printer + Walgreens for photo printing was good enough for now.

I was going to send you one but with the strike and your recent move, I wasn’t sure. Anyway, I have one here with your name on it.
