The link to sign up for this years New Years Artsy Marathon is up. I was beginning to think they weren’t going to do it again.
The price has gone back down to $36 from the price jump to $66 last year.
This year the live stuff is 20 hours. And there’s several hours of pre-live stuff to watch the morning of 12/31.
And you have 3 months to watch the recording

Catherine Rains is doing her free 10 day Collage Joy class again. Starts Jan 1.
I’ve enjoyed everything I’ve taken from her so I recommend it if you have the time.

Yes, I signed up. I don’t mind the $ since there is a 3-month extension. I found a Nancy Drew* book for 29 cents yesterday so I ripped out half the pages and I’m painting/gesso-ing the pages and it will be my challenge art journal.
*It’s a newer version, 1987?, so I do not feel bad about using it.

You guys are giving me fomo! I just signed up for the freebie collage taster too. I’m not sure how much I’ll get done in between some other summer projects, but it would be a good way to use up and enjoy some of my paper crafting supplies.

I’m still waffling on signing up. I had fun the first couple years but my art interests have taken a different turn lately so it’s not really speaking to me at the moment. I really like the idea of an art marathon though so I’ll see how I’m feeling day of.

I remember Andrea C. saying during one of the bookmaking classes, that if you learn one thing or gain a new way/technique/perspective, then the class is worth it. And you are getting access to the last 2 or 3 years of content….
