Cards # 35 & 36
These are all beautiful cards, I keep going back and looking at various ones more closely.
@geekgirl your July 1st one really grabs me, I like how it spills over the edges.
@Smmarrt - that last one is beautiful
Oh, I LOVE that date-stamp pile!
Two things, unrelated.
First - CONGRATULATIONS to @jemimah @geekgirl @megwell @Edel and ME! We are more than halfway done but some of us may finish after July 31. Still I’m happy, so happy to be part of this group. Well done everyone!
Second - I met two other Susans at a 4th of July party - I think we were all about the same age. Susan B mentioned she had submitted a mixed media piece to a 6 x 6 art show in Rochester NY for the Rochester Contemporary Museum. I looked it up and it’s one of their fundraising projects each year. Each piece sells for $20 and you don’t know who the artists are until you receive your purchases in the mail. (Maybe it is revealed after the sale is over, I haven’t read all of the info.)
Anyway, here is a link if any of you want to participate next year.
If you haven’t already seen the emails, Alisa Burke is moving to a new class platform, and they’re starting to migrate users over. I just got the confirmation for one of my old classes. It looked like the kind of message you’d get after buying a class, so don’t be alarmed if you’re suddenly getting “receipts” for long-ago purchases.
I like “the avalanche of days and things undone.” (it me)
Fabulous! I really like the black mark-making on the bottom right one, very grungy and cool.
Thank you!
FYI - I’ve posted a junk journal page swap
That sounds super fun @geekgirl!
Some drawing/illustration practice -
Playing with washi tape this morning - I laid out my assortment of black and white tapes on the left, then doodled some designs on the right. I have way too much washi tape! (but that doesn’t stop me getting the occasional new roll )
I know I’m late to the party but I found some index cards last night so I am starting today… It looks like fun and I could use the stress relief.
Welcome to the dark side!
Lovely combination of colours and black and white, and your snail mail stamp is fab!
I like the spontaneous cards. They feel happy and unfettered.
Cards from this weekend, crafting with no prompts/largely scrounged supplies while visiting my folks.
