I’ve been trying to make these pleated flowers. I like that they are sort of flat.

I found my original paper bag art journal while cleaning up in my craft area today

Made before I started bookbinding, so it’s barely held together with staples 
. I see an upgrade in its future…

Hey all - we haven’t done an art journal zoom in a while
So lets do one Sunday - 2pm Eastern time
supplies needed
some sort of water soluble crayon (or could use paint)
stamps
some sort of focal point
Transparent Acrylic Paint (or transparent Gesso)
Gel Medium
Neocolor II Crayons (or Gelatos, Scribble Sticks, Distress Crayons, Art Crayons)
Ink
brushes

Does anyone have these Dina Wakley brushes and like them? I really like the bristles on them but the quality, in my experience, is terrible. This brush split the first time I used it and I don’t leave my brushes in water after I rinse them and only put about 2” of water in my jar to try to keep water out of the ferrule/off the handle. Has anyone found a brush with similar bristles that didn’t disintegrate?

Jenn they are lovely, I really like your background, mine was far too bright so I pulled it back with white. And your birds look great.
This is mine, the addition of beetle stickers means I can slide it into my body of work for assessment for art college this year 
tutor said ‘more is better’ not that he will like this at all

I like all 3! I would have liked to join this afternoon but the girl and I visited an art supply cafe instead, I did not even know this was here in our neighbourhood, all the traveling away every weekend has me missing incredible happenings.
