Patches - embroidery on needle & wet felted bracelet

This bracelet was done with the same yarn as on the Billions of Bullions Bracelet, but, aside from the awkwardness of working on something this shape, the stitch was far less demanding.

The foundation bracelet for this piece was also worked in a different fiber. The mill from which I used to buy my core fiber has become a tourist attraction and while I think they still do woolen mill work locally, the no longer sell what I used to buy. As a result I’ve been looking around for other sources. I tried the fiber I used for this foundation because it was grey in color which can be a big plus for many projects. The only downside to it is that it contains a lot more vegetable matter.

Just like with the Billions of Bullions, I had to embiggen the photo… SO DANG COOL! My eye could never.

Here I am browsing on LC and over my shoulder comes “Oh that’s some cool Haute couture s**t”(excuse the language)

Apparently my GF really likes it

It is beautiful!

Thank you @TheMistressT @Tapestry @Bunny1kenobi @Sleepless-Ghost !!

I was glad that this one didn’t take as long as the Bullions did!! Having worked with this yarn, I do wish there was a bit less “white” and dark brown, but I suppose they provide contrast!

My eyes today are seeing “yarn” as “yam” - subtle difference in the length, b i g difference in the meaning!

Found a skein on Etsy that I would love to put to use for this sort of embroidery. It’s blues with gold, but she’s very inconsistent on which color dominates. I wrote to her asking if it would be possible to make certain that I got one that was primarily blues(purplesgreen) and smaller accent of the gold(brownyellowgreen). She told me that if I ordered a pan’s worth (5 or 6 skeins) she could try to see that the blues dominated. I don’t even need 1 whole skein! I’m wondering if I can sort of match it using food coloring (since that’s the only “dye” I already have).
