I really love this idea, and I went through and found a few projects that I never created posts for outside of the Nerd Games.
[seagull_biscornu]
I made this biscornu back in 2020 and shared it in the Nerd Games, but never gave it its own post. This is one of those patterns that caught my eye, and while I don’t really like seagulls IRL, I just had to make this. I think it turned out rather cute.
[seahawks_hanging]
I made this back in 2020 and posted to the Nerd Games, but for some reason never gave this its own post. It’s rather large at about 4 feet across. My dad is a huge Seahawks fan, so I made it for him.
[library board]
I made this back in 2021 and shared it to the Nerd Games but never made it its own post. I burned this for my husband. He got a promotion and transferred from one library branch to another. This was what he gifted to his old branch when he left. They still have it hanging up, and even bring it up from time to time when he sees old coworkers.
Did I do this right? Thank you for the reminder to share more outside of the craftalongs!

Oh, I have got one! I posted this in a craftalong but never gave it it’s own thread!
Behold, the Frilly Apron of Ridiculousness that I made as a surprise for @curiousfae !

I had a handful of projects that only got posted in craft-alongs.
I made this in-between other similar projects, and I used this one as practice for the others. It sat around as a WIP for quite a while, but I did find the energy to finish it. It never got its own post, though!
It’s stitched on linen, and it awkwardly outgrew the border I drew. But, I loved making all the French knots!

These skeins are part of larger projects. The Gotland is part of an eight-breed sampler, and I’ve only spun up about 3 ounces of 8 of the Slytherin colorway.
'Slytherin is a 60/40 blend of Merino/silk from Paradise Fibers. It’s a chain-plied, Z-twist, DK weight yarn. There’s 246 yards in this 94g hank.
The Gotland was an interesting spin - it’s a long wool and has more drape and less spring than typical, crimpy wools. The finished yarn is S-twist, chain-plied, and …
My church started a (mostly) monthly Broken Rosary Club this year, and I went to the first meeting last month. It was a great excuse to buy more rosary supplies, lol. We did fix a couple rosaries, and make several for charity.
I used some of my new supplies to make one for my BIL’s birthday (howlite) and one for myself in my favorite gemstone (labradorite).

I posted some projects! Most of them had previously been posted in the HPC or had in-progress pictures in the snapshot threads.
I really enjoy making these baskets! Some were gifts, and I use the ones I’ve kept to store various craft supplies. (These ones were made from 2020 - 2022.)
Pattern: Stash Basket (they’re inspired by this pattern - I didn’t follow it exactly)
Hook: usually between H (5.0 mm) & K (6.5 mm), whatever is needed to make a stiff basket
Yarn: worsted weight acrylic yarn with 2 strands held together, usually Red Heart Super Saver or something similar

I received some yarn as a gift & wanted to save it for a special project. I finally decided to just use it & made a shawl for myself.
Pattern: Cakes Two to Tango, Ravelry link (without any color changes)
Hook: H (5.0 mm)
Yarn: 11 skeins (1,815 yards) Chirapa from Mirasol Yarn, 705 Vert colorway (sport weight, 100% hand dyed merino wool)
I used up the 5 skeins I had & it turned out okay, but it was a little smaller than I’d like:

So I looked around & found some…
This year I finally remembered pi day in time to make a pie! I didn’t feel like making a traditional pie crust, so I found a recipe that used a graham cracker crust:
My finished pie:
[20230314_173308]
I made a few changes:
I used 11 graham crackers for the crust, which ended up being a little more than the 1 1/3 cups of crumbs that the recipe asked for, but I used all of them anyway.
I brushed the crust with an eggwash before baking (I think you’re only supposed to use the egg white, but…

Here are two I never made individual posts for until now …
I made these for the Ornament Swap in 2022.
Sadly this one was stolen from the envelope

These are some of the toques I crocheted between September and December 2022. Most of these went to family and friends, the other 5, I forgot to take photos of, went to a Christmas charity.

All the yarn was purchased from Hobbii.

I started browsing to see what I had posted, and realised this project (made in 2022) was missing:
This shawl was from the third installment of #ullenviärvde (the wool we inherited). It was a collaboration between Tant Kofta, a swedish indie dyer and knitwear designer, and Båvens spinnhus, a smaller scale yarn mill. All packages showcased a Swedish heritage breed, with yarn and pattern suitable for the wool.
This took me around 7 months to finish, and even longer to show it off properly here.

I didn’t have a proper ”finished” photo, so I used the april snow as backdrop.
All colou…
Kind of a big one. I took it off long enough to take a picture.
I’ll see what else I can find.

It seems I did start and finish things in the window of opportunity. Now to decide what to share…
Disclaimer: I don’t think I have ever posted a separate post for things I have created, more just posting on the various *-alongs and snapshot, if this is not the case then let me know and I’ll amend.
My friends got married last year (Finally after about 100 years of saying they were), it was the hottest summer on record (I think) but i wanted a shawl for the evening just in case it got to cool. I already had 2 WIP shawls (still WIPs) that were going to take too long to finish and wouldn’t go with my dress, so I parked them an made this:
I’m pretty sure I shared it in the shawl-along, but I know I never make individual posts.
I had made it before so knew it was an…
My foodie trials are in full force this year, this and my “Jam curry” have been faves:
I regularly meal prep because it just makes my life easier, but living on my own often means several portions going into the freezer until i fancy that again. And if I forget to label - well who knows what I am eating.
My brother and his fiance split towards the end of last year, he didn’t take it so well and when I saw him this one time, he looked so skinny, I thought I would palm off some food to him.
Big mistake!!! Now I cook for Mum & brother - both are perfectly capable but they like some…
And some pouches from the start of 2020
The start of 2020 saw me make a bunch of pouches, 1. because my friend wanted a wash bag, 2. because I had (have) a load of zips doing nothing and 3. if you’re doing one, you may as well do many.
So here they are:
They were all offcuts from other projects, so a good de-stash

I’m still digging through my projects… I often forget to post swap projects in their own threads, and sometimes thepoor things aren’t even photographed. I snapped plenty of pictures of these, so I really have no excuse!
I think this is my first completed project topic in the papercraft section. I carve stamps from time to time, but most of them end up in swap packages or in plastic boxes in the woods (in my Letterboxes). If I sit down to actually craft with paper and stamps it’s either for a swap, or because I need an emergency label or greeting card These were made for @Mvanrh11 in the stationery swap.

Ok finally got around to posting some older projects that I did intend to post and then…well life happens.
One of my lifelong friends told me about her recent obsession with the show Outlander. She was so enamored that she even went on a trip to Scotland! I was thrilled as she isn’t the type to really get into geeky stuff like fandoms and whatnot, and felt inspired to make her a set of Outlander-inspired gear to cosplay when she felt the urge.
[20230402_2213312]
The show is set in 18th Century Scotland, so it features a lot of gorgeous knitwear. I found a pattern for a basic garter stitch shawl wi…

Last year for Halloween, I decided I was going to wear a little witch hat fascinator that I had made long ago but never worn. Once I committed to that, the rest of the costume started to evolve, all with the idea of how can I use up stash? I picked up a whole roll of black tulle for cheap years ago but never seems to run out (spoiler: I still have more tulle in my stash). So I thought about how I might be able to incorporate that into the costume…witches and black, it’s a mat…
I made a fancy cabled hat a few weeks ago to use up some stash. But now that it’s done, I think I might be keeping it for myself. The pattern is Antler Toque by TinCanKnits and is not difficult as long as you don’t get distracted as I did a couple of times (and had to rip back ugh!). Also this hat is really hard to photograph hah.

Here it is in progress before I started the decreases.

Now all y’all feel free to encourage/nag/badger those makers you know from swaps and -alongs who you don’t see when you’re looking at the project posts!
