Pie Fascinator for Pi Day

I made this fascinator for Pi Day today (3/14 = 3.14). I’m wearing it to my pie event in a nearby town where fellow geocachers are getting together to celebrate the day.

I saw a photo on Pinterest that looked achievable. I knew I had most of the supplies so that made it an even more desirable project.

At this point I was in a frenzy to finish so I didn’t take any more in-progress photos–sorry!

I actually finished this! It did not become a WIP/UFO in a bag in my closet! I’m chuffed (which is an awesome word for this emotion).

I am laughing here…did you use an actual wedge of cheese to make your pattern? OMG–this is hilarious and what a fun thing to wear on your head. Seriously, I am grinning ear to ear so thanks for for sharing these pictures!

I love it! The construction is really good and it’s a really cute fascinator! I bet people were super amused when they saw you! I totally didn’t realize it was pie day until a couple hours ago. Lol oh well.

Fun fact: I was going to use white ribbon for the whip, but my son opened a new bottle of vitamins and started tickling me with the cotton. The cotton was genius! Looks like whipped cream!
