Pies-- pot holders

Realistic pies pot holders.

The fabric is from Benartex, called Harvest Pies. It was sold as a panel.

Backing is silver backed insulated fleece (I believe it’s made by Pellon. I got it at Joann.) Binding is bias binding that I cut from insulated yardage. (Also Pellon, possibly “insul-film”).

After sewing everything together, I hand tacked the binding to the back edge and then made the fluted edge stitch by machine.

My goodness these are darling! The fun stitch on the bias really captures the idea of a pie tin - as does the insul-brite-type material on the back.
