Trixi Symonds shared this pattern and tutorial during Making Zen.
I made a few changes. I redrew the wings and instead of gluing in a magnet, I used a magnet intended for clothing. I sewed a scrap of felt inside to attach it to. Because I didn’t want to interfere with the magnet, I didn’t stuff it or add the pouch she used in her original pattern. I like it better without the pouch so I was happy about this.

Reading through the forums has exposed me to Making Zen, which I didn’t know existed! This is a project I would certainly want to make, even though I don’t need it

She’s so cute! How do you use her? She’s a type of pincushion? And what is the magnet inside for? I’d like to make a fox.
It’s a needle minder. You just set the needle on the magnet to hold it (instead of sticking the needle into the arm of the chair, as I usually do!)
Thanks so much! Think I may have heard of them a long time ago. Yes, easier to use for a few needles/pins, instead of sticking them into a pincushion, where you would keep a lot of them.
