Planchette Resin Art

I hand painted the molds with mica powders, did a resin pour, then used upcycled frames and scrapbook paper to make finished art pieces. These are the first two finished, and I have some more in various stages of completion, but I was just so excited by how they came out that I was eager to show them off. It’s been a process several weeks in the making.

I actually did some refinishing on this frame with rub n’ buff and paint

this one uses polychromatic powders and mica.

I’m super pleased with them!

Cool. Love the first one!

Are you casting and assembling a bunch of pieces for each planchette, or do the molds include the cat, crystals, etc?

That cat one is mind-blowing!

The mold has the design already carved. I use a paintbrush to color the various parts to bring them out.
