Pocket shawl, a good book, and hot tea: does it get any better than this?

I have been wanting to make a crochet pocket shawl ever since @LovelyMiss posted hers. When the IYP swap came up, I was looking for a partner who could make me some funky earrings. I knew @Bunny1kenobi 's jewelry was always some of my favorite, but what could I make for her? I was astounded and happy when I saw she had a pocket shawl on her Pinterest!

I found this pattern and loved the funky style, so I went out and got all the yarn the pattern called for. But, when I started the pattern, it was so s-l-o-w…so many stitched into chains…omg…it was going to take me forever! I did maybe three rows a night! To the rescue…LC crocheters said to try just crocheting into the spaces and not the chains…I did, and it still looked fabulous and stitching was off with lightning speed! Thanks, to all who helped with this suggestion!

Lots of funky fringe…

Pockets! Perfect for hiding snacks while reading!
