As soon as Pokopia came out in the spring, I couldn’t wait to make a crochet version of my BABY, Professor Tangrowth! This poor little guy just needs a huge hug!
Fortunately, I found this incredible free pattern on Instagram by pontofi.art!
This ended up taking me months, mostly because I kept sort of forgetting about it for weeks at a time, but I FINALLY finished my little lonely professor!!
In the original pattern, the stick is also crocheted, and the glasses, eyes, and CD/TM are printed out and glued on, but I wanted some slightly differet accessories. I got the glasses from a dollhouse store and cut off the arms, adding some washi paper for the old broken lenses. The CD/TM is some shiny cardstock with pen lines, and the stick is…a stick. I found the perfect shape and whittled it a bit to look JUST like Professor Tangrowth’s, but unfortunately after these photos were taken, my cat Paprika ate the top of the stick. ToT So at some point I’ll have to go find a new one and reattach it.
