Here’s another project from January. 
This is a purple plum blossom set that was part of my courses for certification in my art form, tsumami-zaiku. You have to take all three, beginner, middle and advanced courses then do a skills exam and produce a unique work that showcases your mastery to be certified in tsumami-zaiku. I think this from the middle course.
This set has two pieces - a comb and a hair pin that has sagari, or fluttering petals.
I used to have a mild fear of making sagari, but I managed to get over it a few years ago by doing a project that was nothing by sagari, haha. Now I actually enjoy making them.
