Quick cushion cover

Many many moons ago I received this lovely piece of applique in a deadster swap-unfortunately I can’t remember who made it (anyone recognize it?) finally, finally I made it into a cushion cover.

Red velvet for the back.. The love patch is from atee-shirt that my daughter used to wear as a child. Three lovely things that I’ve carried around for a long time, finally brought together.

I’ve had a crazy busy year and not sewn nearly enough, so it was nice to do something quick and done!

Lovely & full of love! The red Rorschachish print is so interesting.

This is great! It reminds me of that Hawaiian (I think) style of applique (I think) quilting. Your red velvet backing with the darling love patch is perfect for this!

UPDATE: I googled it and yes, this looks a lot like kapa kuiki (or whole cloth) applique quilting.

I thought if the Hawaiian traditional quilts as soon as I saw it, too.

I love a quick craft to spruce things up. This cushion is cool and I am sure it will add a touch of flare to the room.

I love it when I see someone do this- getting those ideas out of the head and into real life. This is so lovely!
