Quilt-along 2021

@MistressJennie I’ve signed up, I have all the supplies, so basically I just want to enjoy the class.

And I did some piecing today, it was so nice, even if my space is very tight on I’m catching up on BOM that I’ve missed. Naturally I thought I was further back than I was, so I made may (again!);

Then I got as grip and realised that I’d already made may, and June. So I made July.

This is literally all the space I currently have to work in. I’m not really complaining because the reason I’m in a tight spot is because DH is going to start shelving my craft room. Yay!!!

I just had to share this. The funniest quilt pattern I’ve ever seen.

That is truly bizarre. I especially love the mermaids

It’s so weird, I’m tempted to make it. But then what would I do with it?!?! LOL :joy:

Frame it and display it proudly over where you feed your pup?
Donate it to an auction to raise money for your favorite dog charity?
Wear it as a cape when dog walking?

I mean, the possibilities truly are endless…

I completely meant to come back and follow up on this. The cream Halloween fabric is from Timeless Treasures!

I finished the back of my DS2’s quilt today. It feels like I’m finally in the home stretch on this project!

Thank you! I love how it turned out and can’t wait to quilt it.

Woo, gorgeous! The back looks like some sort of dynamic rainbow interference, so much movement!

Beautiful. I live both sides. The black really sets it off.

I, mcadwell, offer my Mona Lisa Quilt for my large challenge entry.

I was told I should enter my quilt here but, I’ve not entered before, so hopefully I’m doing this right. If not, please let me know.

This is a panel throw quilt using bamboo batting so it is lightweight and usable for summer in northern climes (where I live). Not to mention the background shows summer in Italy where the Mona Lisa was located.
It has areas of trapunto in the frame, sleeves and neckline area of the bodice.
It is machine and hand stitched. It took well over 20 hours just in hand stitching alone.
It’s based on a pattern but is not a kit and I did not follow the pattern 100%.

Beautiful quilting. You added so much to this masterpiece.

I haven’t started on my August block. Too much summer! But I did finally select the fabrics…at least the first round. If the power stays on, (Henri is coming Sunday night) maybe I’ll sew during the torrential rains.

I hope you don’t lose electricity. I have rheumatoid arthritis and can’t deal with the heat or cold anymore so pretty much have to stay indoors all the time. Hope the rest of your summer is great!!
