Quilt-along 2021

-I MistressJennie submit this as my July BOM entry.

I had already done a Churn Dash block for my scrappy sampler quilt a few months ago, so I decided to do my BOM for my future Halloween quilt, now that I have lovely blocks for it from @AIMR and @Abbeeroad. The black print and the orange solid were both in my stash. The white print is scraps Abbie sent me from the block she created. I’m especially proud of the fact that I got the print in all 4 corners to sit right side up. Thanks Abbie!

I love it…and you did a fine job on the prints…the fabric is really cool…do you remember the maker?

The black print was from Joann’s. No idea on the cream print, but @Abbeeroad might know.

They go so well together!

I AIMR submit this as my July BOM. Last project before going on vacation! I should be packing…lol

BEAUTIFUL! Love the prints you chose!

Thanks…like you, I am trying to get enough squares to make a small lap quilt…I have four in this group so far…a bit busy, but when put side by side, they work!

The prints remind me of Gustav Klimt paintings.

So many colors and designs to look at! Have a great vacation, too!

Same here! They all have a touch of metallic gold as well…

I’ve not done a BOM since about April I think, but I plan to catch up and get them all done. I love the colours in that one @AIMR

I just realized now with @mistressjennie posting her awesome BOM that I have failed to share an August prompt! So sorry, ya’ll!

August’s Prompt: Nature’s Bounty. Quilt something that represents something you might see in nature, something you might use with nature (napkins for garden snacks, for example), or any other way you want to represent this theme.

Hey Friends! I know this is off-topic as far as quilting, but I’m sharing anyways in an effort to get the word out. I’ll be teaching an online class for LC, in a few weeks. We will be making a rainbow sun catcher and a beaded bracelet with a charm. Kits are available for the low price of $11 (including shipping in the US), + $5 for the class itself, that goes to LC, to help us fund things like Challenge prizes. The kits include the same rainbow suncatcher seen in the link below, while the bracelet kits are completely custom to each person. I have over 1,000 charms to choose from, and tons of high quality beads, so you’re sure to get something you love.

Signups were due to close today, but we’re going to extend them a few more days to let more people join in.
