QUILT BLOCK SWAP
It’s time for another quilt block swap again! This time, there are two options:
group swap . In the group swap, we are swapping in groups of 3 to 5. We are sending 3 blocks to each person in our group, so if there are three members, we send 9, if there are four participants we send 12, etc.
individual swap In the individual swap, we swap one or two quilt blocks with one other swapper. This is a great option for those of us who have busy lives or are new to quilting.
If there are a lot of sign-ups, there will be more than one group swap. Even though in many cases quilt blocks can be sent in a flat envelope, due to the weight they will probably be considered a flat package rather than an envelope. This is why swapping outside of your own country is optional in this swap. If you are swapping outside of your country, please include any necessary information that you know of regarding tariffs in your Q. In my country, for example, it’s necessary to put the word “gift” in the customs info, to avoid tariffs. Unfortunately, no guarantees on the tariffs front, although I recently won a battle with customs because my swap partner included the word “gift”.
In your Q, every swapper can pick a number of blocks, colours and sizes they prefer, at least two and at least one that is beginner-friendly. There are plenty of different blocks found on the internet. If you have a particular end result in mind, it’s highly recommended that you make one or more example blocks so your partner knows what kind of look you are going for.

If there’s anything I forgot, please let me know! This thread was heavily influenced by all the work @MistressJennie did for the previous swap. I read through that swap and experiences of participants to see if there’s anything I needed to know.
One thing that struck me is a lot of people still haven’t used the blocks from previous swaps on this site or the old place, so this swap ends with a CHALLENGE to create something from received blocks before the end of this year. It doesn’t have to be a full quilt, it can also be a one-block project.
