I’m seeing a lot of Jolly Bar precuts on sale right now (5” x 10” rectangles) . Has anyone ever made a quilt using precuts in that size? It seems like a bit of an odd size for most quilt blocks.

If you look at Pinterest, there are lots of patterns using that size. I made one a long time ago but cut my own rectangles. I don’t think they made that size back then. Here is one I like a lot!
Thanks! The first quilt is the back of the one in the third picture. I just used a design wall (hung a queen-size sheet on the wall) and pinned the pieces where I wanted them.
Yesterday was a bonus Bingo prompt day, but I once again forgot. So, here are both prompts.
Yesterday’s prompt: Wear something cozy while you work on your project
Today’s prompt: Create a quilt block
The weather here turned chilly today, just in time for yesterday’s prompt (which is intended to enhance the enjoyment of working on your project).

I forgot, but can we have done the bingo call already and just needed for it to be called or do we have to wait for it to be called to claim the square? I created the October block in October…do I mark it off or wait until I finish the Nov one?
Yes, it is quite chilly here as well…caused the battery in my car to finally die and I have to wear socks…ugh.
So long as the bingo call has been completed this quarter, you can use it to fulfill the prompt, regardless of if it was done before or after the prompt was called. So, yes - you’re good to check off the the create a quilt block square.

I can’t believe that is a quilt pattern! WOW! How fun…look at the tiny tail and the noise! I love the tones of fabric that make it look shiny like a balloon!
I think buying this pattern was definitely the way to go. Now instead of figuring it out on your own, you can spend that time working on the pattern! I’m really looking forward to seeing your version!
So it turns out I should have read before printing! There were two sizes and templates both with colour and without! I ended up printing everything.
@marionberries I don’t know what colour I’ll use, I thought I would have enough in stash, but I’m not sure now, and it’s going to be fiddly, so I think I’ll splash out and buy new fabric. I won’t need too much. I’m leaning towards the colour depicted. I think it’ll pop best on a denim jacket.
Probably just as well that I’ve made that decision, I sprained a ligament in my thumb and just gluing together the sheets of the pattern was enough to have it complain. So I’m forced to rest it.
