At last, the 2026 Quiltalong is here, along with all the fun things that come with it. Prepare for a new year of prompts (presented by the alphabet). Get your bingo daubers ready as the Quiltalong Bingo continues on. Prepare to cross off your goals, submit challenges, and finish the projects you’ve been working on! We’ll have an All Star lineup of quilt blocks for the BOM and coming soon is The Great WIP Completion Contest! The Quiltalong Prize Packs are back this year…and I may even manage to start sending them out in a timely manner again - it’s 2026, anything is possible!
I have created a downloadable Quiltalong tracking sheet. There are quilt star check boxes, space to list out goals, along with space to add the monthly letter/number prompts. Use it to keep track of all the fun and all the points you earn this quarter (remember 7 points gets you a Quiltalong Prize Pack!)!
This year, we’re going back to the basics - ABCs and 123s. The monthly prompts will consist of 2 random letters and a number. You will be prompted to create a quilted item that either makes use of the number somehow (ie. this block is made up of 7 colors, this block is 7" square, this is my 7th time making this pattern, etc.) or features something starting with one of the letters (ie. this mug rug features Pink fabric, this is my Pirate quilt, I’m sending this quilt to my friend in Paris, etc.). Half the fun is coming up with a way for your quilted item to fit the prompt!
By the end of the year, we will have gone through all the letters in the alphabet and numbers 1-10.

Use at least 5 different colors of the color spectrum in your project. They don’t have to be specifically Roy G. Biv* colors, they can be variations of the colors (ie. pink, peach, teal, etc.).
