Rainy Sunday Mini Painting

It’s been raining HARD here for several days. It’s getting a little bit lighter and more scattered, but we’ve been better off than a lot of parts of the island and I still filled a 5-gallon bucket eith rain in under 48 hours.

Soooo… I’ve been playing a little more with paint. This morning’s edition is this little acrylic on wood piece inspired by some mosses I’ve seen with my hand lens.
(which, by the way, I highly recommend finding a loupe/hand lens and looking at these tiny plants if you’ve never done it before!)

Sweet pic. I love the colors and textures. It has a mystical feel.

Love these colors!! And such a cool representation, too.

Sorry about your weather. I hear some of the islands are really struggling.

I love the orange and yellow circle around it. It’s a really cool piece. I love my little microscope I bring with me on outings!

Thank you for the thoughts! I feel extremely lucky that our house seems fine, but there are so many folks who lost their homes or had major flood damage. (There were issues with water getting jnto the fuel at gas stations too ) There are also roads that were washed away, and LOTS of humongous pot holes everywhere. I hope the farms on the north shore can recover. :frowning:
