Reader’s Haven booknook (pic-heavy)

It’s done!!! This will be a Christmas gift for my DIL. I really had fun designing, planning and building all of the pieces in this project.

It all started with the tiny sofa:

A HUGE pile of mini books (still have some left over):

A tiny tea set on a wee table:

Picture window overlooking the cow pasture at twilight:

Book shelves built from scratch. I made all of the wee plants as well:

The main floor- I’m loving the blanket ladder. My DIL actually has one of these, right down to the jersey cow print blanket. I made the plants, end table and lamp. There’s also a remote on the end table for the flat screen tv.

The upstairs reading room, with beanbag chairs in the back overlooking the tree swing in the back yard:

Building the staircase was fun. I loved watching it come together.

The wires for the lights that illuminate the bottom floor are sneakily hidden under the furniture upstairs.

Oh, WOW! The individual components were amazing feats of miniaturization, but all together this is unbelievable! She’s going to love this!

The tiny plants and books are killing me!!! So many details…feet on the bookcase, wooden floors, lights…what a delightful scene. This is such a unique gift. Does she have other miniatures from you?

This is so amazing I have no words!!! All the details, the books, the tea and cake on the table, the plants, the patchwork pillows…. Your DIL is going to cry this Christmas!

I agree with everyone. This is incredible. I love that it has a lived-in feel. You expect tiny people to show up when you go to sleep. Every detail is fantastic. Love those stairs! You outdid yourself!
