Rejuvenated Tiki Lanterns

My neighbours had a box of random free stuff out a few weeks back so I sniped it! I saw these tikis and just had to save them.

The paint was chipping badly, so I gave them a good sanding and got to work. A few coats of paint later, my new tikis were born!

I have yet to find batteries to fix the solar lights inside, and give them a coat of weatherproofing spray, but for now they are hanging out in my kitchen making me smile. Can’t wait to see them glowing in the garden – hopefully before the end of summer!

Thanks folks! I am a little nervous about putting them out in case the neighbours decide they like them again! Haha. Thankfully our back yard is pretty secluded so they’ll have a nice hideaway.
