Reusable Bitterroot Flower Gift Bags

I made a quick visit back “home” and was able to get a visit in with some of my oldest friends: oldest in years alive and years I’ve known. They self-named themselves “The Geezers” decades ago when they were younger than I am now, but my ex and I were in our early 20s. I bought them some huckleberry pepper jelly as a little Montana-y gift (although I realized too late that these were from Idaho).

I had assumed I had some paper gift bags I could wrap them in, but I was wrong! I did know for sure that I had some State Flower fabric from JoAnn (RIP), so I sewed up a couple little bags! The purple ribbon was from DEEP stash - the early 1990s - and was part of a project I worked on with one of the Geezers.

Lovely!

Thank you!

These are beautiful!

Thank you!

So pretty! I love that fabric.

Aw, thank you!

PERFECT wrapper for huckleberry jam (even if it IS from Idaho).

Hehe. Thanks!

Nothing better than a reusable handmade gift bag, and in such jammy shades too!

I hope they pass them along before it enters a bag of bags vortex!
