Ribbed Beanie in Handspun Noro

My friend’s birthday was this week so I stitched up a hat for him. It’s just a simple ribbed beanie, so I didn’t use a pattern. I spun the yarn last year from some Noro pencil roving.

Gorgeous!! That’s some really lovely yarn you spun. I don’t think anyone does colours quite like Noro, they are amazing.

That is gorgeous! This hat makes my heart so happy to look at it. I’m sure it will be super cozy and warm.

Thanks! It is squishy! Working with the yarn was kind of like what I imagine crocheting dryer lint would feel like. But, in a good way. :joy: The roving was slubby and slightly felted before spinning, and that made for a highly variable single…it all evened out quite nicely after plying, but there’s still a lot of texture.

Very cool (or warm), the colors look a bit like a sunset :city_sunset:

The texture is still visible after crocheting and I think that adds to the cozy factor!
