Robot Seer Mask

My brother in law is doing something very unconventional at work where he is supposed to be like a old robot in futuristic old western times and also he’s a seer I guess? And of course I was gonna help. So tonight Mr. Rage spent an hour tearing apart old laptops and electronics that we’re too afraid to throw away (for fear of identity theft or something) while I glued random bits of mother board onto an old vest. Then he yanked out the laptop fan and it had a lovely convenient hole perfect for an eye to look through. Suddenly I’m making a mask! We ended up with this:

My camera is very bad and I didn’t realize how blurry the photos were but I still wanted to share this weird thing I made tonight. :joy: It’s strapped on with the elastic off an old sort-of (not really) “VR headset.” It’s actually pretty comfortable on even though it doesn’t look like it would be. Lol.

Lol I will update with the whole costume once he has it all together! I told him how to tea-age his white button-down that he’s going to wear. Then he has an amp cord bollo tie, his mother-board-covered vest, and then just some brown pants and brown dress shoes. Lol he’s a chemist for cargill and I think they’re doing some benefit for the rich investors (I’m not sure for what) and part of it is they’re servers that are old western future robots? Very confusing but I’m here for this kind of extra stuff.

I was wondering what his job might be. I don’t think chemist would’ve even made my top 50 guesses, lol. It sounds like it will be quite the creative costume! I like how the whole process was an evolving one with room for creativity - ‘we have an eye hole, let’s make a mask!’

Thank you! I thought it was pretty clever
Mr. Rage’s brother is definitely not the type to normally do anything like this. He’s pretty reserved. So I was excited. Lol.
