Rose Gold Bellflower Temari

For the fourth ball in my 2020 holiday gift series, I was starting to get low on certain colors. This challenged me to put together a palette that normally wouldn’t be my first choice, and I’m so glad I did! This ended up being one of my favorites. The tan base is warmed by gold guidelines, yellow and peachy pink threads, with white and dark brown to balance it.

The pattern is a color-swapped ‘Bellflower’ from Suess’ Japanese Temari. It’s a simple-10 division, kiku herringbone, and obi belt.

I took a picture in-progress because it was starting to look like the Holy Hand Grenade of Antioch and made me laugh.

This is my favorite of the four you posted…they are all lovely but I do like this color combination!

Yes, I love the colors, too! It is so interesting to me, how the variations in stitch patterns affect the look of the final piece. And again, super impressed with your productivity! You made so many in such a short time. Kudos!
