Thanks to this amazing community I finally finished my niece’s roses for her wedding dress.
She lost her mom, (my sister,) when she was little, her sister & baby niece were killed a little over 5 years ago. So she asked me to embroider 3 roses that she will have sewn onto her wedding dress on the side to represent them “always being by her side". It was a daunting honor. I nearly got paralyzed by fear, but persevered. It isn’t perfect, but I’m quite pleased with it.
I used wash away sticky paper for the pattern, but it didn’t stick great, so I still had to stitch it down. I was terrified to rinse it off, but tada. I’ll try to update this after the wedding (April) with a pic of her in the dress with it on.

I knew you would do a fantastic job of this! They are gorgeous! After the wedding, she will also have a lovely reminder of her departed family being with her always!
What a lovely way for her to include lost loved ones on her special day. And you’ve done a beautiful job with your part in it. I’m excited to see it on her dress!
The roses look perfect and they mean so much more because you made them for her. Awesome job! What a lovely way to include those she’s lost into her wedding.
