I received a lovely crocheted scarf today from @geekgirl-a pretty variegated yarn in a fun pattern with immaculate stitches- thanks so much! Hopefully we’ll get some wintry weather this year so I’ll be able to use it

Oooh. That is pretty! I love the colors and that bubbly stitch. I’m sorry, I have no idea what it is called, but it looked really pretty. This has such a great cozy winter vibe!
I would lower the A/C in my house just to have an excuse to wear this! LOL that is absolutely gorgeous!

It’s a puff stitch. Similar to a bobble stitch. They use a lot of yarn but look fun!
This site goes through the differences in puff, bobble, and popcorn stitch. the 2nd pic shows them all together. I did the 9 loop puff

I got an amazing package from @EclecticDreamer dreamer on Monday. I had out of town guests visit so I couldn’t get a picture until last night, and it is solid in the dark phase here. Sorry the pictures are a little dark. I also used a gray background, which I realized probably didn’t help.
She sent me a bunch of awesome extras.
Some beautiful purple Hedwig HP fabric, a notebook from the SPCA (cute pup!), two sets of fun buttons (I love star shapes!), beautiful purple thread, and four charms (two Gummi Bears and two dino skeletons). She also made a Christmas themed pin cushion with walnut shells inside. The patchwork is excellent, and I can also use it as a fabric weight! But she didn’t stop there. She included an adorable cat pin for me to wear! Love its little face!!
Then she made a beautiful purple and gray scarf. The purple fabric looks likes Alison Glass. Is it? Its beautiful! The color is perfect. She paired it with a snuggly gray flannel for extra warmth and it has a stunning shell button!

The scarf fabric is Starlight Spooks - Crossing Light Purple by Elena Amo for Paintbrush Studios (my receipt called it lilac, but internet search pulled light purple). The scarf is actually a cowl/wrap. There’s a button hole on the opposite end. I hope it works right. Pre-button hole it seemed perfect. Post button-hole it may be a little off. I almost moved the button, but just really couldnt tell.
