Scrap Busting Project Quilting Challenge FINISH One less WIP

A finished quilt! A real finished quilt. A project off the WIP pile and into the gifted box!!!

Quilting done by Southern Charm Quilting in Huntsville, AL.

Pieced back to use up scraps.

Take a look at those binding corners. After mphfty years quilting I think I finally got the hang of that. Amazingly enough, they all look like that but you will have to trust me. I didn’t get good photographic proof.

The poorly done rolled quilt edge picture… is that still a thing?

And an arty shot…mostly to show that in spite of the dead leaves in the trailer it really is summer and I really did just finish a ‘real’ quilt big enough to cover a small human,

This was started as Project Quilting challenge quilt a couple years ago. I was trying to use up some odd bits of fabric, mostly from the scrap packs I enthusiastically bought when I first started quilting, but now realize the bits and bobs are bit too small for Bob so I need to find ways to use them all up.

Gifted and hoping they love it,

The colors are so sweet, and I love that you added a splash of color to the back. The bird pattern it was quilted in is perfect for the project. Great quilt!

It’s gorgeous, the quilting is wonderful. And I’m still struggling with good corners after nearly 40 years!

Ooh, I like that you went with pink thread for the quilting. The visible quilting works really well with all the negative space. That bit of aqua in the back is a beautiful finishing touch! Congratulations on finishing!
