Scrappy Hissy Snake

I had a bunch of little bits of yarn left over from various projects and wanted something easy to work on, so I crocheted a scrappy snake!

Pattern: Hissy Snake Amigurumi (ravelry link)
Yarn: various lighter worsted weight acrylic scraps, mostly vintage yarns
Hook: E (3.5 mm)

He was fun to work on! For the main body, I kept going until I ran out of scraps of the right weight. He ended up a little over 3 ft (0.914 m) long!

Curled up to see the color changes better:

This was a pretty fast project, so I didn’t get many in-progress pictures!

This is the cutest little snake ever! I love the color change. Great job!

ACK! I love your cutie snek! The tongue is so fun and the stripes and ombre-esque color changes look so deliberate that he/she isn’t even obviously a scrap buster.

Cute! And nice use of scraps

I love the gradual color shifts in this! It really makes this look like a natural progression rather than a cobbling-together of random yarn! Amazing!

What a fun little project! I sometimes have a hard time crochet in the round, this is maybe a little wider, so it isn!t too hard to hold on to.
