Scrappy Mail Fabric Swap - Round 2 GALLERY

Remember, you also got a new puppy-dog and that is a huge mental adjustment. I remember getting my dog (14 years ago) and it is not a sepia toned memory of puppy snuggles and bubble hearts popping above our heads. It was waking up at all hours, getting my pant legs torn by little teeth and a lot of swearing. It made for a difficult time for all my categories.
Give yourself some grace and just do the next thing, the rest will follow.

:sob: I had SO many squares cut and wanted to send SO many more but I thought we were being all no extras

I’m sorry. The ā€˜no extras’ was referring to anything besides fabric squares, so we could all use regular envelopes and stamps to send. And I tried to pick a minimum number to send that would work in even a heavy greeting card without going over the 1 ounce weight limit. I was really just trying to avoid everyone spending $80 at the post office to mail to 6 partners.

It’s all good! On some of the envelopes, I did put on an extra ounce stamp. On packages that weighed more, it was because I was combining other things that I have been saving to send…kinda like a personal swap thing or more like a Happy Mail thing!

I have a list of things to send in Happy Mail…I think I will include fabric squares in some of them…what a wonderful thing to get a happy piece of random fabric!

I am glad I spent time cutting and sorting…this swap also gave me a chance to see what my stash was lacking and to finally be able to share some of the fabrics that I have been hoarding! ha ha

No worries!

I thought it meant no extra fabric too! BUT, I will know better for next time and weigh my envelopes out. I am already looking froward to doing this again!

It’s fine to send just the minimum…it’s just a sort of running joke with this group that we are trying to destash…sure, we are…by getting more fabric…yep…truly destashing…ha ha ha…I guess we hope that giving away more tiny squares, our stashes will miraculously go down…sigh…so yeah, we are thinking magically (and unrealistically…)

Large cards, I don’t have a scale, I just made stuff fit. Except for the extra one that’s going to someone who didn’t officially sign up for this swap

I have an early appointment for toe knuckle injections, that’s just as awesome as it sounds but neccessary for pain. So of course the dog got loose just before we had to leave. She ran away from me full out up to the busiest 4 lane road at the top of our street & then, hold your breath… RIGHT INTO RUSH HOUR TRAFFIC. She is ok, thankfully her love of people distracted her by the crossing guard & kids who caught her for me. And now I really need those injections in my poor foot but I’m late. I hope they’ll still see me.
LIFE! whew.

Hugs! That is so scary when they do that. I’m glad she’s okay.

Those look seriously heavy. I really hope they don’t get returned for insufficient postage. :grimacing:

That’s absolutely terrifying. I’m so glad she’s okay!

I stuck something into @magpie’s envelope right after I had affixed the postage label…it added something like .1 oz to the weight! I hope it slides by…I really think I was a tad below the max range, but @Magpie , if you get hit with postage due, let me know and I will send coins…ha ha

I take things to the post office, they put the stamps on so it’s the right amount.

I am still shaky. She however is feeling nice & relaxed, the booger.

I’ve had enough packages returned (even some mailed direct from the postal outlet :rage:) I do the same. Especially since I sent cranes to everyone

They saw me, thank goodness. Usually I go at end of day so I can go home afterwards but I thought I’d try before work. My foot is currently frozen, we’ll see how today goes.

Oh no! You are having a rough time. Take a deep breath. Peaches will blend in before you know it, and you won’t remember all the craziness. And if you do, you will laugh about it. Hopefully.

Awesome!

I got mine from @AIMR. She sent me 6" squares and i already have plans for 4 (maybe 5) of the squares! These are perfect for a new project. Thank you so much.

PS - The elephants are adoranle!.!.!

Glad someone finally received from me! I really loved those elephants but I had no plan for them. I wish I had more of the butterfly fabric as well…I have lots of ā€œstragglerā€ charms that I have no idea how to use them other than maybe a big scrappy quilt…I really need small projects, so maybe notebook covers?

Can’t wait to see what you make!
